Meet Kirby, the sweetest little black kitten with sleek, shiny fur that glows like velvet. Kirby is the ultimate snuggle bug, happiest when he’s curled up on your lap, purring contentedly for hours. His favorite hobbies include kneading biscuits with his tiny paws, giving affectionate kisses, and entertaining his humans with his playful but gentle antics. Kirby is also quite the chatterbox, always ready to have a conversation and brighten your day with his delightful personality.

Rescued from the shelter at just a few days old, Kirby was lovingly bottle-fed and has grown into a confident, human-loving kitten. He adores cuddling up with his people and gets along wonderfully with other cats. Kirby’s world wouldn’t be complete without his best friend, Peewee, another affectionate and playful kitten. These two are inseparable—they play, nap, and explore the world together.

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
