My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS STARTING 12/20 ***

My name may be Ebenezer, but I'm no Scrooge!
My foster family says I brought the love and joy of Tiny Tim & the Cratchit family to their home, as I love to be with people! I may be small, but I channel big dog energy and kept my 70-pound dog sisters busy with play time and cuddles. My foster mom says I am still learning manners when playing with kids and dogs, but I am a fast learner and good listener--- especially when treats are involved. Once I am done with my high-speed zoomies, I will need you to be ready to cuddle because I sleep all night. I don't mind my crate when you leave the house or need me to rest, but I would rather be under the covers in your bed or running to carpool with you. My foster family also thinks I may be part cat--- I am flexible like no other, and jump and bounce but always land on my feet. I know to only chew on my toys, but if you leave your clothes on the floor, I will drag them around the house with pride. I walk well on the leash, and do not mind it at all--- and I am all about going potty outside now that I have figured it out. My foster mom has told me that some man named Charles Dickens in a Christmas Carol wrote “Every traveler has a home of his own, and he learns to appreciate it the more from his wandering.".... and she sees that with me!

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
