Meet Karen, the spirited kitten with a big personality and an even bigger voice! As the most vocal of her
siblings, she is the group’s spokesperson, always ready to charm you with her meows.

Full of energy, she loves chasing stuffed mice, batting at wand toys, and climbing her cat tree like a pro. But Karen isn’t just about play; she adores pets and cuddles. Karen is extremely affectionate to her
humans and seeks them out to sleep either on their lap or cuddled up next to them.

Ready for a fun-loving, affectionate companion? Karen is waiting to steal your heart!

Karen gets along well with her brother, Gerald, but does not get along with the two resident cats at her
foster home. She should either be adopted with Gerald or she would be amazing as a single cat.

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
