Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marty is an 8-year-old Schnoodle, weighing in at a petite 9 pounds. His story began in a difficult way, found on a country road by a kind farmer, cold, dirty, and matted with fleas. After a few baths and some gentle grooming, Marty started to feel like himself again – and now he’s ready to start a new chapter in a loving home.
Though Marty spent much of his life in a kennel, he’s learning what it means to be part of a family. It’s been a journey, but Marty now enjoys all the comforts of home, including snuggling in bed with his humans and curling up on the couch. He’s discovered the joys of dog toys and has become quite the playful little guy, bouncing around and chasing the other small dogs in his foster home.
Marty is mostly housetrained, but he does best with frequent potty breaks, as he’s still getting used to the routine of living inside. Since wearing a collar and walking on a leash were new experiences for him, Marty will need a home with a physically fenced yard where he can explore safely. He does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but meeting new people can be a bit stressful for him, so he’ll need a patient and understanding adopter who can help him feel secure and build trust.
Once Marty feels safe with his people, he becomes a loving, loyal snuggler. He’s looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue to thrive and enjoy his newfound freedom. If you’re ready to give Marty the love he deserves, he will reward you with affection and joy.
Marty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. Marty also recently had his teeth cleaned.
