Meet Ebony: The Playful Socialite with a Curious Streak!

Ebony is a sleek 5-month-old black shorthair kitten who’s small, sweet, and spirited. With her playful energy and social nature, Ebony brings excitement to every room she enters.

She adores wrestling with her siblings and loves being groomed by her brothers—though it always turns into a playful wrestling match! Ebony is intelligent and her curiosity knows no bounds. Her favorite pastimes include birdwatching from a sunny window and chasing feather wands and plastic springs.

While Ebony isn’t yet the biggest fan of being held (she's working on it, and has made great progress), she happily soaks up attention when it comes to pets and ear scratches. She’d thrive in a home with another playful kitten to keep her company and match her energetic spirit. Ebony hasn't yet met a cat-savvy dog or respectful children, but she may be able to coexist in a home with proper introductions.

Ebony is spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. She’s ready to find her forever home where she can share her love and playful antics!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.
Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.
Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.
Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.
