Why I need a new home

Does not get along with other pet

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are rehoming our 3 year old Maltese/Boston Terrier mix dog, Gertie. This is an extremely difficult decision for us. Gertie is a sweet, loving and sensitive girl who we adore. Unfortunately, after training, medication, vet advice and separation tactics, Gertie and our older dog do not get along. While Gertie goes to Gulliver's Doggie Day Care and plays well with dogs at the park and in our social lives, she struggles with resource guarding at home, making her aggressive towards our older, smaller dog. For this reason, Gertie will need to be in a one-pet home.

Gertie is a fun-loving pup who enjoys daily walks/jaunts, playing tug of war and fetch, treat puzzle balls, lots of scratches and belly rubs and lots of snuggles and kisses. She's sassy and comedic, but also sensitive, requiring a "safe space" in the form of a cozy kennel, a spot under a shady table, etc. to take breaks, as she sees fit. Gertie will thrive in a quiet, loving home.
