My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Thumper. A hound mix who came to ARC from Gulf Coast Humane Society after being surrendered because his owner was moving out of the country. This guy has a heart to match his size. He is a happy dog with a severe case of wiggle butt, but once he gets over his excitement, he just wants to feel the contact of his human. He loves treats and always wants to play. He absolutely adores a good game of fetch. He will need some training, but his affectionate personality will make it all worth while. We love him and are sure that you will too.

Why not complete an application and schedule an appointment to meet this playful guy today?

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
