Why I need a new home

Fostered

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This guy is from a shelter in California. I grabbed him because he was going to be euthanized otherwise. He was skin and bones when he got here. He gets along with my old dog and my one cat. The older one is scared of him, but that's an issue with her.

While skittish, he's super sweet. He loves to lay next to you and isn't very high-energy.

He is leash trained and knows stay, sit, lay, and leave it. Lewis does have a luxating patella on his back-left leg, but the vet said to leave it alone.

Unfortunately, he does not like my mother. He growls when she enters the room or if she wakes him up. This hasn't escalated into a bite or even mouthing, but it scares her. While I know how to fix it training wise, it's not something she's comfortable doing.

This was kind of intended to be a foster-to-adopt situation, but I think it's best if he goes to a new home. Maybe with a single person.
