The best boy ever is finally making his way to Maine and looking for a family. Harley is an 8 yr old Boxer. He came to the shelter with heartworm and some mass cell tumors. Harley has been treated for heartworm and is free of those pests. He has also had the mass cells removed. He will need his new owner to keep an eye out for them. Harley has been the greeter and puppy trainer at the shelter for the months he has been there. By far a staff favorite they want him to enjoy the comforts of a home. Harley will be here 12/20 and fostered in Lewiston.

More about this rescue

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
