Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We are writing with a bittersweet heart as we look for a loving new home for our dog, Jax. He has been a cherished part of our family, and this decision has not been made lightly. Unfortunately, due to some behavioral challenges, we believe he would thrive in a different environment.
Jax is a sweet and affectionate companion who loves to snuggle and enjoys being around people. He loves walks and hiking (very good on leash w/gentle leader and was previously e-collar trained). He is full of personality and brings so much joy to those who get to know him. However, Jax has developed some territorial behavior and food aggression that we have been unable to fully manage with a new toddler in the home. While he is gentle and loving most of the time, he can become possessive around food and certain spaces.
We believe Jax would do best in a home with someone experienced in handling dogs with these behaviors, ideally without young children or other pets.
Jax still had so much love to give!
