My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pretty girl is Tessa. She is 3-years-old and weighs 45 lb. She is what we call in rescue a "low rider", with shortish legs and a stocky body. We think Tessa is a lab/basset mix but whatever the breed, she is 100 % adorable! She has a wonderful personality to match her looks. Tessa is very sweet and has a friendly wiggle. She happily approaches any strangers looking to make new friends. She is very people oriented and would make a great family companion. Tessa is playful and should be great in a home with children of all ages. She has not shown much interest in other dogs so we think she would be fine as a solo dog. But she is dog friendly so no concerns with meeting other dogs. We are not sure what Tessa thinks of cats, but we can cat-test her if needed. Tessa is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and healthy. Her adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Tessa, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms or stop by at our shelter Wednesday-Sunday between 12 and 6 PM. The DAWS shelter address is 147 Grassy Plain St. Bethel. Tessa can't wait to meet you! Email daws@daws.org with any questions or if you need assistance.
