Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Vixen is a 4-month-old, sweet and playful kitten looking for her forever home!
Vixen is a sweet girl with just enough playful kitten energy. She seems nervous of too much commotion and will seek out a safe and quiet place until everything is calm again. She can always be found with another kitten either snoozing away or playing. She likes to climb into her human's lap and roll over so that her human can rub her belly easier. She loves getting her head and neck scratched, and will let you know she enjoys it with her signature loud purr.
Vixen loves to both snuggle and wrestle with her littermates. She finds soft cats toys the most exciting, as well as cat toy wands, and she enjoys sneaking up on her littermates in cat tunnels. She prefers to relax in tall cat trees where she can see everything happening below. When she isn't playing or napping, she really enjoys getting affection from her humans, and will happily climb into their lap and roll over for belly rubs.
Vixen starts out her kitten day with eating wet food her foster mom gives them. After she has a full belly it's time for some sprinting around the house, wrestling with her littermates, and pouncing on toys. Afternoons are reserved for naps high up in the cat tree in a big kitten pile. In the early evening it is play time again!
Vixen currently lives in a foster home with her mama cat and littermates. There are adult cats and dogs in the home as well. There are 3 older children in the home and two adults as well.
Vixen's ideal home is one with another playful cat or kitten that will play with her and also snuggle with her. Because of her young age she will need to be adopted with one of her littermates (check out the other Christmas themed kittens) or adopted into a home with a friendly young resident cat to show her the ropes. She would do well in a quiet or moderately busy home that could provide her with lots of love and affection.
So, if you’re looking for a mellow kitten to bring some Christmas joy this season, consider sweet Vixen!
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
