Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Donner is a 4-month-old, playful and sweet kitten looking for his forever home!
Donner is a super sweet kitten who quickly became a lap cat, eager to snuggle with his humans. He is a love bug to the max. His foster mom loves it when he sits in her lap and gazes up at her lovingly. Donner naps hard so he can play hard! He has plenty of the spunky, all-over-the-place kitten in him, which makes his foster mom laugh daily.
Donner loves to wrestle with his littermates, frequently winning the wrestling match. He finds soft cats toys the most exciting as well as cat tunnels, in which he can surprise pounce on his littermates. When he isn't playing, he really enjoys snuggling with his humans, showing off his loud purr. He loves curling up in their lap on the couch and getting rubbed all over, including his tummy.
Donner starts out his busy kitten day with eating the wet food his foster mom gives him and his littermates. After he has a full kitten belly, it's time for some sprinting around the house and wrestling with his littermates.
Afternoons are reserved for naps high up in the cat tree in a big, warm kitten pile. If he can find a human to curl up with on the couch or sitting in a chair, that is his first choice. In the early evening it is play time again! He gets all his zoomies out before getting in a night-time nap.
This stripey guy currently lives in a foster home with his mama cat and littermates, adult resident cats and dogs, two adults, and three older children. Donner does great with other cats and large dogs, happily snoozing next to the resident dogs. He is happy to play with any friendly cat or kitten that comes his way. He does well with older children and has interacted with younger children without issues.
Donner's ideal home is one with either one of his littermates, or to a home with an active young resident cat who will play and snuggle with him. Because of his young age, Donner will need to be adopted with one of his siblings (check out any of the other ""Christmas"" themed kittens) or into a home with another friendly young cat to show him the ropes. He would do well in a moderately busy home that could provide him with lots of love, interaction, and cuddles.
Are you ready for a true joyful spirit this holiday season? Donner is ready to meet you!
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

How We Help

Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
