My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Mimi was brought in by her previous owner on October 24, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Introducing Mimi, a sweet girl who's ready to bring joy and love into your home. Mimi is a mellow and very social pup who thrives on human companionship and adores attention. Mimi was previously an outdoor dog, so she'll need a little help with potty training as she adjusts to indoor life, although she's pretty much nailed it already. She's an escape artist when left outside alone, so a home where she can live comfortably indoors and be close to you would be ideal. Mimi loves long walks, car rides, and bath time. With her friendly nature and love for people, Mimi is looking for a warm and caring home where she can truly feel like a part of the family. Mimi has also been known to resource guard, so we recommend respecting her space while she's eating - if you have any other pets, it's important to keep them separate during feedings! If you're ready to welcome a sweet, social, and affectionate companion into your home, Mimi is eager to meet you and start her new chapter with a loving family! Don't forget to bring a leash and collar!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
