Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
A24309 Max is a black with some white colored, approximately 4-year-old, 69-pound, neutered male, German Wirehaired / Doodle mix.
He entered the shelter as a stray on 12-14-2024 and was altered by our medical staff.
Max is a friendly, calm, and easy to handle boy here at the shelter. Our staff describes him as a super sweet boy just looking for love and affection. He was easy to leash and was well behaved once we got him outside past all the distractions of barking dogs. He did grab the leash when we had him hooked by his collar. But using a harness solved that problem. He will be a great dog for that person who has time to spend with him and exercise him to get his energy out. He has had some training and will “sit” upon command, but only if you have treats and only for a second. He has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. Max will be a fun-loving family member in his new forever home.
