Peanut is a 10-pound, 2-year-old Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home. This little sweet thing is a wild child and displays many puppy-like behaviors. She is working on potty and crate training, gets into things she shouldn't, chews on items left out within reach of her mouth, and wants to play play play, go go go. She follows her humans from room to room, getting underfoot, so is not ideal for those with balance issues as she may trip them. She is great with kids and very friendly with other dogs. She also does well around the 2 cats in her foster home. Since Peanut chews things she should not, she must be crated when left home alone but is not a fan of crating and will sing the songs of her people when left behind. For this reason, she is not a candidate for those who live in apartments or homes with shared walls. When it is finally time to settle in, after playing and chewing and chasing and being a busy body, Peanut will snuggle in with her people for a recharge before the fun starts again. She may be little, but she is mighty, and is looking for a young family who can match her energy. If this is you, please fill out an application to meet Peanut ASAP!
All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
