My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Junior (A212995)! Junior is just four months old and looking for a loving home at the shelter.

Junior was born at a colony of cats in Esparto that are cared for by an animal loving family. Day after day little Junior made his presence known and became more and more friendly to the point of rubbing against legs and purring up a storm. It was clear the outdoors was not the place for him so they took him in to give some extra tender loving care and socialization so that he could find a cozy loving indoor home.

Junior is loveable and affectionate and ready for his forever home now. He will make a wonderful companion to his lucky adopter. Junior can be a little shy at first meeting, but be patient and understanding and know that once he feels comfortable, he is the sweetest little kitty who just wants to cuddle and is a little purr machine! Junior loves his buddy Rango (A212994) as you can often find them cuddling together. Junior also got along with a calm, cat-friendly dog in the home.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
