My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Twinkie!

Twinkie is a sweet 14-year-old Corgi mix who needs a loving home for her golden years. What she loves most of all is being near her humans, but she also enjoys walks, treats, and her soft beds.

Why Twinkie Needs a New Home:

Sadly, Twinkie’s elderly parents, who are in their late 80s, are no longer able to provide the care and attention she needs. While heartbroken, they are hoping to find a calm, loving home where Twinkie can continue to feel loved and secure and enjoy the rest of her years.

Personality & Behavior:

Twinkie is a mellow and devoted companion. At the nursing home, she did great when meeting new people. Twinkie is accustomed to being the only pet of her retired mom and dad. The kindest, easiest transition for Twinkie would be to a home where she is again the cherished only pet and not left alone often. In her current short-term home, she has been anxious when left by herself and protective of her food and treats.

Twinkie loves curling up in her doggie beds and sleeping in her crate with the door open. Currently, she has access to the outdoors during the day to go potty and goes on two walks around the neighborhood.

Twinkie’s Health:

In May 2024, Twinkie had a comprehensive physical exam and bloodwork. She is in good health and up to date on her vaccinations.

Please consider Twinkie:

Whether it's lounging by your side or getting all the love and attention she deserves, Twinkie is ready to be the apple of your eye. If you're looking for a companion who is content with quiet days and close companionship, Twinkie might be the perfect match for you!
