Why Pita is the one for you:
Meet Pita! In the words of his foster parent, Pita is the "best boy ever." He is known for his friendly disposition and adorable head tilt. He enjoys going on outdoor adventures and greeting everyone he meets along the way. Pita is fully housetrained and got along great with the resident dogs in his foster home. Pita's adoption fee has been waived in hopes of him finding a loving home as soon as possible.

Pita is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.
