Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet purrbeast Purrl! This 4.5-month-old kitten was born to a colony cat in York and trapped in late October with her two siblings. Purrl was the most timid of her siblings and has been living in my dad’s office. She loves to play and purr like mad right next to you, but she isn’t a lap cat who wants to be picked up. Maybe someday! On an average day, you can find Purrl destroying toys, birdwatching, and sleeping on my dad’s keyboard (or his feet). She is perfect with her box and has a great appetite. Recently fully vetted but needs her 2nd FVRCP vaccine.
Purrl was placed with another foster family earlier in her socialization journey and got along with the cats but was petrified of the large dogs. She became much more withdrawn and antisocial at that house, so she returned to mine and was fine. Purrl can be noise-sensitive and slower to warm, so I would recommend her for adult, low activity homes or experienced w/ timid cat adopters. If we didn’t have 4 cats, we’d keep her too!
