Urgent foster or adopter needed in Orange County for Cowie. This stunning boy is currently with one of our rescue partners and, as a foster-based rescue, we cannot get him out unless we have someone who is fully committed to giving him a safe place to go once he leaves the shelter.
Cowie is 4 years old and was surrendered to the shelter when his family was moving. He's a very friendly guy and likes hanging out with people. He lived with kids and dogs, and his previous owner said he's potty trained and enjoys running.
He may start off a tad shy but it won't take long for him to be leaning on you or sitting on your feet.
We are recommending Cowie to active homes, and if there are other dogs in the home, calmer medium to large sized pups would likely be his best match. Like most pups, he will need refresher courses in potty training and obedience in a new home. He's been through a lot losing his family, and he needs a new family that is patient and willing to make him a permanent member of their home.
If you are interested in helping Cowie, please fill out a foster or adoption application on our website!

Launched in 2021, Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is a Newport Beach-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. We are entirely foster-based and are no-kill. Our mission is to help as many homeless dogs and cats as possible find loving and compassionate adoptive families.
We accomplish this by being good stewards of donations, inspiring dedicated volunteers and fosters, providing education on responsible pet ownership, and being advocates for each animal that comes under our care. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of as many animals as we can.
Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is named in honor of our founder's late dog, Diamond. She was a fantastic foster sister to numerous dogs and was a friend to every animal she met. It is our hope that many more animals in need will get to be one of Diamond's friends.
