We are looking for a new home for Quincy because we are moving to Switzerland after the first of the year. We are concerned that the travel complications and new environment in a large city like Zuerich could be difficult for Quincy. We got Quincy when he was 10 weeks old. He is now 4.5 years old.

Quincy got along well with our Maltese Poodle (deceased in late spring this year) and our Golden Retriever (lives now with our kids in college at Chapel Hill). I do not know how he will behave with cats, but overall once he knows the new family he will be a good dog, but very protective of their house and family members. He received training at the Dog Knowledge when he was younger, but could use a refresher.

Quincy is neutered. He is crate trained, but he does not escape. Since birth has been routinely boarded at the Dog Knowledge where he interacts well with other dogs. He needs to wear a muzzle at the vet office and if you have unexpected visitors coming on your property. Once he knows they mean no harm he is the sweetest dog to anyone. He does not have any anxiety or hip issues

We would love to find someone who loves German Shepherds and who we think can take good care of him.

Because of this belief, our adoption process is what some would described as lengthy and can be emotional.
