“Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! It’s showtime!” (from the movie,” Beetlejuice”) I’m 3-month-old black female kitten, the one with the green collar. There are four of us girls out of a litter of six black kittens who were found with our mama Boo back in October. We all went to a foster home. Mama and our brothers were adopted, so that leaves us girls. I’m Beetle Juice, and my foster mom says that I am “a hoot!” She called me “a super fun, spunky, outgoing girl with the loudest purr.” I love being held and snuggled, but better yet, I love playing with my sibs, especially my brothers. That’s not an option any more. Darn! I could really hold my own. I’d do great with another kitten friend, and my BFF is my sister, Hocus Pocus. Oh, I come when I’m called too! All of us were eating dry Purina Pro Plan kitten food. We’re litter box trained without accidents. We communicate with meows but don’t meow excessively. We’re calm and play well with others. We listen when told “gentle” when playing with humans. We have been around adults, kids, and other adult cats and have done so well with everyone they’ve met. So, what do you say, humans? Paws and Claws Humane Society (PCHS) is a non-profit, mostly volunteer organization that rescues and shelters homeless cats and dogs until they can be adopted into their “forever” homes. We want our clients to understand that adopting and animal is a lifetime responsibility and commitment to that animal.
All prospective adopters must show (at the time of adoption) a valid drivers license or other acceptable identification to verify their name, address, and age. Adopters must be 18 yrs of age. Children under the age of 12 years old need to be present at time of viewing shelter cats or dogs.
After submitting an application, there is generally a processing period of 1-3 days in order to complete all pre-adoption checks and paperwork before an adopter may take possession of the animal.

Paws and Claws Humane Society is committed to partnering with the community to shelter, protect, and seek adoptive homes for abandoned or lost companion animals.
We have served Southern Minnesota for over 30 years and we are the largest shelter in the 8 surrounding counties that does not limit the length of stay for the animals in its care.
Paws & Claws is funded completely on donations and fundraising events and receives no federal, state, county or city funds.We currently have nearly 900 dues paying members.
Paws & Claws has a community fund to help pay for the spaying and neutering of companion animals for those who cannot afford it.
We give over 40 tours and presentations annually, educating the public [including over 400 children] about proper animal care and the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals to help control the pet population in Southern Minnesota.
We have over 110 families that participate in the Guardian Angel Program [sponsoring animals] each month.
Paws & Claws will take in an injured animal and get the emergency medical care that it requires.
Local veterinarians in and around Rochester help Paws & Claws by providing over 145 free spay or neuters each year.
In a typical year the shelter will facilitate adoptions and provide care for over 600 dogs and cats.
