Corkscrew is a 10 month old Cocker Spaniel who’s ready to pop some champagne with his forever family! Corkscrew was surrendered to one of our shelter partners who asked us to take him in, due to a lack of space. We agreed and picked this handsome boy up, getting him a bath and some much needed hair brushing! Once his coat was glistening in the sunshine, we knew he was ready to find his people! Corkscrew weighs 27 pounds and is excited for a lifetime of snacks and love. Come pick up our limited edition bottle of adorable pup and adopt Corkscrew!

Corkscrew (Corky) is a loving and smart pup who wants to be wherever his people are! He loves to snuggle but he also loves to play. His favorite toys are squeakers but he would be thrilled to have an endless supply of all things fluffy in his forever home. He also loves to play fetch and can zoom across the yard for hours at a time. He is making friends with lots of the neighborhood dogs and would love a playmate in his forever home, but he could also thrive as a solo pup. Corky is playful and energetic but can also be totally chill when his people need a break. He is a total lover who has ears that would make Dumbo jealous! Corkscrew would love a home where his people can spend all their time loving him. He is such a sweetheart who is also super smart and food motivated. He’s already picked up “sit”, “down”, “come” and “stay”. What a smart dude! Corky would be so happy to curl up in your lap and enjoy the holiday season with you. He’ll be the talk of the block and we know that he will make your life so much better just by prancing into it!

Corkscrew wakes up around 5 AM, heads out to the bathroom where he also gets some playtime before he heads inside for breakfast. He goes into his crate for a few hours while his foster mom gets some work done where he happily naps. He goes out for a potty break and some playtime around noon and then heads back into his crate. He gets a long walk at 5 PM and then has some playtime before dinner at 6 PM. He hangs out for the rest of the evening and loves getting cuddled by his foster mom! He goes out for one more potty break and then heads into his crate for the night at 9 PM.

Corkscrew lives with a small dog and he gets along fabulously with him. He would love to be friends with the resident cat but she’s not so interested. Corky is learning how to walk on a leash and is making progress. He is completely potty trained and crate trained. Pop a cork and come bring home our limited edition Corkscrew!

Corkscrew is only an option for homes with prior dog owning experience. Kids should be over the age of 10.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
