Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This sweet 9 week old puppy came to Shadow and Sky from a high volume animal shelter in Kentucky. He was found as a stray with 7 of his siblings and he and his brother Rory made their way up to foster homes in NJ.
Anakin is the floofiest boy that is most likely mixed with some kind of Pyrenees or Aussie. He is a very well behaved puppy, and is already 95% housebroken at just 9 weeks old! He also sleeps soundly in his crate at night with no issues.
Anakin lives in a foster home with 4 other large dogs, and he can hold his own! He will play for hours with his foster brothers and sisters and isn’t afraid to tumble around with dogs 5 times his size. Anakin would love an older canine sibling to show him the ropes in his new home. He also could easily do well with both cats and children!
Anakin loves his puppy toys and will cuddle up with his stuffed animals whenever he is sleepy. He is very good at occupying himself when given some toys to choose from, but don’t be surprised if he gets into some puppy mischief now and then! Shoes are his weakness, and he loves to steal his foster dad’s Uggs and run away with them!
While Anakin is SUPER easy to love and pretty easy to take care of, he is still a puppy and will require work to train and socialize him as he grows. If you’re okay with some puppy antics and frequent potty breaks, Anakin may be the perfect fit for your home!

More about this rescue
We are a small foster based rescue that is just starting out. We just got our 501c3 about a month and a half ago, and just got our first ever dogs this week. I currently am employed in animal welfare, and knew there was a need for dogs to get pulled from shelters into rescues, and that is what we do. (I am a brand new organization so I provided my personal vet as a reference. We will be taking animals to vet appointments shortly, as our very first dogs arrived yesterday).
