My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ben, an 8 pound Papillon/Chihuahua (best guess) is guestimated to be less than a year old. He & Jerry were found abandoned in a rental home. A little unsure at first, he is a happy little guy that just wants nothing more than to be near you to get & give lovings. He can do ok with other small dogs but can be a little jealous (resource guarding for your attention) & absolutely loves to play. He does need work on potty training & due to having a touch of separation anxiety, would not be a good candidate for apartment/condo/multi-family style residences. Be mindful that small dogs have a typical life-span of 12-16 years & need a lot of socialization so that they can be confident Littles. Training, walks & lots of meeting new people need to be planned for.

Want to be considered to be Ben's family & meet him?

Additional adoption info

In order to ensure a perfect match, we screen all adoption applicants. We require anyone wanting to adopt to complete an adoption application and we check personal and vet references. Final step before files goes to the Adoption Committee for review is to conduct a home visit with all members of the potential adoptive family. Fees for adoptions vary based on whether the dog's purebred, the age and health status of the dog. Contact us via email and we will send you our Adoption Application and tell you a little more about the dog you're interested in adopting!
