My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet The Fantastic Mr. Fox! Mr. Fox is a 12 yr old Pom-Chi mix who was found as a stray. A good Samaritan saw him wandering around and brought him to the shelter. He is currently loving his new lap of luxury with his foster parents!

Mr. Fox has cataracts which unfortunately has slowly caused him to become blind. But don't let the lack of sight fool you! He has an amazing sense of smell and hearing and is not bothered one bit by his limited vision! Mr. Fox is crate trained and potty trained. From his time on the road, he endured a bad infestation of parasites which took away all his fur on his back side. He's now though on some great meds that will hopefully repair his skin.

Mr. Fox is the most sweet, loving, snuggly senior! He loves to be picked up, held, and pet. When moving around, he is super slow and extremely cautious. He is indifferent to other dogs, but due to his slowness and lack of sight, it would be best that he is in a home with another laid back senior or low energy dog. He has not been kid tested yet, but should do ok as long as they (or anyone for that matter) announces themselves prior to touching him.

Mr. Fox is looking for a laid back family that will be his source of vision, while he will love, cherish and adore you with all his other senses! If you want a loving, snuggly senior as your companion, apply for Mr. Fox today!

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
