Pumpernickel is a 1-year-old, beautiful back/white shorthair. She has beautiful eyes, is very sweet and loves attention but is shy. She will respond to attention but does not demand it. She needs someone to bring her out of her shell (that will be you!) but allow her quiet space. Indoor only! More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
