Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi, my name is Big Girl. I am from Arkansas.
Looking for the sweetest, calmest girl of your dreams? Well, look no further ‘cause here I am! Hi, I’m Big Girl, but my foster parents have been calling me Daisy because I’m just so adorable (duh) and I have little flecks of white in my coat that remind my foster mom of pollen. I get my OG name from my size because I’m 74 lbs and 2 inches taller than my foster brother, but I promise I’m a gentle giant. I love to show off my big smile when I’m really excited, and sometimes I show it off when I’m being a little sassy, but my foster mom thinks it’s adorable.
I really just want to be around my people, whether that’s snoring away while you work or chewing on a nearby toy. Speaking of toys, I LOVE them all! I even came up with a hoard of my own special emotional support stuffies that you’ll have to promise to adopt along with me. New dogs can be scary to me (consequences of toughing it out on the street), but I really adore my foster brother so I promise if you give me a little time and a proper intro, I’ll be any dog’s new best friend. In fact, I would really prefer a doggie friend at home or parents who can spend most of their time with me because I get a little anxious when I’m left alone. That might calm down in time, but I was alone for so long that I really take comfort in having a buddy.
I’ve been super great walking on a leash, I quickly mastered “Sit,” and I’m currently working on “Stay” and “Shake.” (I’ll do anything you want me to for a tasty treat). I’ve also been sleeping wonderfully in my kennel, even though I would much prefer to be up sleeping between my foster parents. While I’m quiet as a mouse during the night, I don’t always love my kennel during the day and cry because it means I’m alone. BUT, have no fear! I have been left out plenty and haven’t chewed anything outside of my toys or had any accidents. As long as you take me out on a schedule, I’m an accident-free girly! Oh, side note, I keep trying to be friends with my other foster brother, but he hisses at me when I get too close. Even though I like a play chase now and then, I’ve never been any threat so a dog savvy cat would work best for me.
From her foster: Ideally a home with people who work from home or have another animal as she's shown some signs of separation anxiety.
Patient with a proper intro to new dogs - once she meets them properly she's a big fan.
No cats or dog friendly/savvy cats.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
