My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLAYFUL & SWEET:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 16 lbs.

Hi, my name’s Teddy!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  The volunteers have been taking great care of me, and I can’t wait to be soaking up the love in my new home – hopefully soon!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  Though I’ve not officially met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, I have been reactive to some dogs I’ve seen at the shelter.  Perhaps it is just being in the shelter environment, so – if you have a nice doggie already, let’s meet and see if we can be friends. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a fun and playful lap dog who is as sweet as I am friendly.  They say I have ‘a great spirit’, as I wiggle with happiness when out and about with the volunteers.  During my photo session, I quickly earned the reputation as being ‘lively and cute’.  I bet you will agree! / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I already know the ‘sit’ command, and I look forward to learning more, so check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy time spent with people and love when they bring out the toys for play time.  My cuddly nature makes me a great snuggle companion when it is time to just chill and soak up the love. / Other than seeming a bit wary of other dogs, I can’t think of any dislikes right now, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I came in pretty matted, so I’ve been groomed.  I had a few baby teeth still, so MM had those pulled for me.  You will notice a large patch of missing fur on my left side.  It’s smooth and seems like possibly a previous burn.  I don’t think I’ll grow my hair back in that area, but it doesn’t bother me and I hope you don’t mind.

I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving furever family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
