My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Turkey is a one-year-old dog who weighs 79 pounds. He’s a playful and quirky companion, always eager to make friends with everyone he meets. Still brimming with youthful energy, he often forgets about his size and loves to play and enjoy himself. He understands the command "Sit" and is currently learning "Wait" to help him develop some self-discipline. Like most lab mixes, he has a strong affinity for treats and food, often eating everything put in front of him without hesitation. With a vibrant personality, Turkey would benefit from an experienced dog owner who can help him learn best practices for proper behavior. If you're seeking a large, cuddly friend, Turkey is excited to meet you!

Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

More about this shelter

Springdale Animal Services' mission is to provide shelter and care to the thousands of stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in need every year. We reunite lost pets with their owners, and place many that are homeless in caring, permanent homes. We strive to ensure the welfare and public safety of our community and its animals through education of our citizens and enforcement of our ordinances. We promote spaying/neutering all domestic animals at the earliest appropriate age, as a means of reducing their overpopulation.
