Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Fergus is a 1-year-old weighing 50 lbs. He is filled with enthusiasm to meet new people and has a strong passion for playtime. His favorite activities involve soft toys that he can easily grab, which he enjoys running with and tossing around. Although he tends to jump on people, he can be easily redirected, especially if there are treats involved, which he adores and responds to well. Fergus is eager to learn basic obedience commands and aims to please his owners. He understands the concept of "sit" and just requires someone who can maintain a consistent training routine with him. A home without other dogs would be the best fit for this boy. Fergus would be an excellent companion for someone experienced with dogs who is seeking an active playmate.
Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

More about this shelter
Springdale Animal Services' mission is to provide shelter and care to the thousands of stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in need every year. We reunite lost pets with their owners, and place many that are homeless in caring, permanent homes. We strive to ensure the welfare and public safety of our community and its animals through education of our citizens and enforcement of our ordinances. We promote spaying/neutering all domestic animals at the earliest appropriate age, as a means of reducing their overpopulation.
