Meet Pinto Bean and Garbanzo, an adorable sibling duo who are looking for their forever home together! Pinto Bean, a curious and adventurous little girl, gets her name from her unique speckled paw pads, just like pinto beans. She’s always the first to explore and is very food-motivated—you’ll quickly win her over with treats! When she’s not off on an adventure, she’s a total snuggle bug, happiest when cuddling up in your lap.
Her brother, Garbanzo, is a sweet and mellow boy with a playful streak that shines when the moment feels right. He’s a bit more laid-back than his sister but loves cuddles just as much, especially with his dog and cat foster siblings. Together, Pinto Bean and Garbanzo balance each other perfectly, creating a delightful mix of energy and calm. These two are inseparable and can’t wait to fill their new home with double the love, purrs, and playful antics!
RHS Adoption Process and Requirements
Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative.
Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview.
Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat.
Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.
Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $125 for cats, and payable by Paypal, Venmo, cash, or check. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets.
