Nippet is an extra special little girl with a delightful personality. Born with twisted paws, this determined kitten has worked hard with her foster family and made amazing progress. Her back paws are fully corrected, and her front ones are almost there!

Despite her unique start, Nippet doesn't let anything slow her down. She runs, hops, and plays just like her siblings, chasing balls and spreading joy with her adorable little bounce. Her favourite activity? Snuggling. She loves nothing more than curling up in her human's arms, purring louder than you'd think possible for such a tiny kitty. She even has a thing for long hair and will bury herself in it like the cuddly baby bear she is.

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
