Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
The irresistible Boo is an almost 8 year old Maltese / Poodle that is just waiting to be the love of a special family's life.
Boo is between 7 and 8 years old (such a great age..old enough to be very calm and past any babyish behaviors and young enough to have many active and healthy years remaining).
Our cuddly guy weighs 10 pounds of cottony-coat fluffiness. This is.a perfect size for walks on gorgeous Colorado trails or neighborhood strolls for fun and socialization. And then at day's end, sweet Boo would be perfect for warming his favorite person's lap or a cuddly couch / bed companion all night long.
Sweetie-pie Boo is a great companion and loves to hang out watching Netflix or chilling to the latest playlist. He loves scramble eggs and chicken and is generally a very good eater as long as it doesn't come in a metal bowl. Boo preference is eating from a plate on the floor or very gently from your hand.
Boo is mature enough (as well as very clean about himself) to make good bathroom choices. He also has never destroyed anything inside or outside of his home.
This loving sweetheart spent his first 7+ years as a faithful companion to an elderly couple. Boo was an international pup living in Denver most recently, NYC prior to that and Florence, Italy in his younger years. Although Boo does use a crate for travel, he doesn't require confinement within the home. He isn't interested in in toys or beds made for dogs but prefers a nice comfy carpet or spot on the couch with his favorite people. He sleeps very happily in bed with whoever he feels needs his love and protection, but won’t hog the covers.
Boo has a gorgeous non-shedding coat and not a single hair will ever need brushing off your clothing or furniture. He prefers the indoors but also enjoys taking walks on leash and is spry and active. Everyone who meets Boo thinks he a much younger guy than his years indicate.
Boo likes the car and enjoys going on errands with his people. He is very accommodating when a stranger tries to pet him and although he's never lived with children, he seems to enjoy them and the attention he receives.
Farfel's Rescue has made the decision that we'd like to see Boo in a home with loving and devoted retirees that spend lots of time at home or enjoy taking their furry best friend along. A younger family that works from a home-based office would be a good choice for this sweet boy as well. Boo is also a perfect take-along sized guy. It's so easy to just scoop him up and snuggle him under your arm. He enjoys the car and is very happy riding strapped into his car seat so he can watch the activity going on around him..
Boo is at his absolute best with dog-crazy adults as he's more comfortable with their quiet energy. A walk followed by time on the couch or bed watching a favorite TV show would speak to this little dog. He would be overjoyed to be part of a family of older or slightly lower energy folks. It would match his own energy and he will be a loyal, full-time best friend.
Boo is unknown with cats. He's compatible, however, with gentle dogs with similar energy levels to his own, but doesn't require these relationships to be happy. he would be very content as an only dog with a family that will shower full-time love and pampering on him. He will return that love and kindness a million times over as he falls more and more in love with his favorite people.
Boo is a non- shedding guy (and considered to be one of the most hypoallergenic breed mixes available today). He will therefore require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition. A daily salmon oil supplement coupled with 5 star food is a great regimen to keep his cottony-soft coat healthy, cottony-soft and matt-free.
Boo is currently being fostered in the Denver area. If interested in this gorgeous and very cuddly, loyal and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit.
**PLEASE NOTE**. If you're truly interested in adopting Boo, please be sure to submit the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Petfinder or Adoptapet don't provide enough information for us to determine a great match for this very deserving dog.. and therefore aren't useful. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those those that don't submit a Farfel's adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue!

Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
An Adoption Application and an Adoption Contract must be completed before any dog can begin their one week foster. Our average adoption fee is $695. This amount serves to cover vetting, spay/neuter, all vaccinations, temperament testing, transport, a microchip, harness, food, and treats.
Our dogs come from Texas, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and rural Colorado.

Pets are transported from the southern states every week. Almost 100% of the time, the dogs are spoken for as a result of adoption applications that can be referenced under Adoption at farfelsrescue.com. We study the applications. If the app indicates there is a match, followed up by a home visit and reference checks, the process moves to the next step. The adopter is committing to a one week foster (of course the dog can be returned at any time prior), and can then choose to finalize the adoption.

More about this rescue
We own a pet boutique named Farfel's Farm & Rescue on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado. We have had the good fortune to find our niche in the Boulder community and experience success. We felt it very important to "pay it forward" in gratitude. We couldn't think of a better endeavor than to save dogs who were out of time in the southern states, yet had been identified with great temperaments. We dedicate our efforts to their good health and ultimate wonderful, permanent homes.
