My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Livia is a small 3 year old Pittie mix at 43 lbs. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Crate trained too! Her foster family is working on manners and seeing how she deals with different events. She’s great at the vet and getting a bath, but we recommend a restraint in the car just so she isn’t bouncing all over. She loves her humans. Only wants to be outside long enough to do her business unless with her humans.

Livia is very food motivated and so we recommend a home without small children or other pets, but over all she is VERY LOVING and a PRETTY CHILL girl.

$200 adoption fee.

More about this rescue

Recycled Tails was created by Heidi Evans in 2011 to continue her life long dream of rescuing animals of all shapes and sizes.

We have our 501c3 non-profit status and are always recruiting foster homes. We rescue unwanted pets including dogs, other domestic pets and barnyard friends (including chickens!) and work to find them their new forever homes.

We have a program to help pet owners who need to rehome their pets to keep their pets in their homes until a new home can be found. We can provide vet care/food/training to qualified pet owners who have a reason to rehome their pet in order to allow the pet to stay in the home as long as possible. Our goal is to place the pet right from one home to another.

We believe education can be the key to successful pet ownership. Heidi has spoken at schools and other programs to young adults about the meaning of owning a pet and all of the requirements that go along with it. If we can educate our youth it will benefit the future of pet ownership overall. If you would like to learn more about this please email us.
