My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner Dec 08, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Dilo is a charming 4-year-old bearded dragon with a love for basking in the warmth of his habitat. Whether he's lounging in his favorite spot or exploring a new hideaway, Dilo is content in his environment, and he'll appreciate a sense of calm in his new home.

Dilo needs a varied diet of fresh vegetables, insects, and plenty of water. He's looking for a home with an experienced reptile owner who can offer him a spacious enclosure, the right temperature, and an appropriate diet.

If you have the space and love to care for a gentle, easy-going reptile, Dilo could be the perfect addition to your home. Come meet this handsome guy and see if you're the right fit for him!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
