Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh Murphy. He's the definition of a sweet old dog. He's got a greying chin that's just adorable. He walked super well on a lead, knows sit, and didn't even pull when we walked by another volunteer with a different dog. He takes treats super gently with his mouth and would just want to sit with someone who will love him and live out his golden years with someone willing to take a chance with an older dog. Meet the dog/puppy at weekly adoption events (every Saturday) Meet cat/kitten at area locations including our Kitty Korner (1649 Main St)

Interview

Interview to see if the pet will be a good fit into the home.

Approve Application

The application is completed and approved.

Sign Adoption Contract

Meet the pet. A short interview will be conducted. Fill out an adoption application and contract and you can take your new companion home. We are always here to support you after the adoption with any questions or concerns.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every Saturday from 10 to 1 at the Grand Junction Petco, PetSmart or Chow Down for dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens can be seen by appointment at Grand Rivers Humane Kitty Korner (1649 Main St, Grand Junction 970.257.0070) or anytime at Petco, PetSmart and J&M Aquatics. All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
