Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
A dignified seven-year-old Vizsla from Corte Madera, CA, whose golden rust coat radiates warmth and beauty, just like his heart. Harrison is a loving, playful companion who thrives on human connection and adores chasing balls, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying the thrill of a good run. At 62 pounds, he’s a large yet gentle soul who’s happiest when he’s part of a family’s daily life.
Harrison has mastered commands like sit, paw, come, and no, thanks to his formal obedience training. His favorite activities include backyard games of fetch and chewing on durable rubber toys, and he’s a fan of daily walks and a cozy bed for his naps. Despite being a medium-energy dog, Harrison loves a steady routine of exercise and mental engagement, including his cherished two-mile walks several times a week.
Harrison’s personality is a mix of affectionate loyalty and playful curiosity. He’s a constant companion who finds joy in being by your side and is friendly when meeting new people. However, Harrison is a dog who needs a little extra understanding. He feels uneasy in tight spaces or around large objects like boxes, and in moments of high stress, he has bitten when he felt cornered or overwhelmed. While Harrison is not mean or aggressive, these reactions stem from fear and discomfort rather than malice. He simply needs a caregiver who recognizes his triggers, provides him with space, and reassures him so he can feel safe and secure.
Harrison would do best in a home with no small children, as their unpredictable movements and energy can overwhelm him.
While Harrison enjoys select canine friendships, he’s not compatible with cats. His perfect home will be one where he’s the center of attention. A loving, patient family who understands his quirks and is eager to celebrate his many wonderful qualities is exactly what Harrison needs.
Vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, house-trained, and crate-trained, Harrison is ready for a fresh start with a family who will cherish his unconditional love and playful spirit.
To make sure that Harrison has a great start with his new family, we have a canine behaviorist available for a free consultation.
