My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tessa ❤️

This tiny girl is the absolute best companion. A few weeks ago, we saved Tessa from the county shelter and are SO glad that we did. She was understandably scared there, but opened right up at her foster home! ❤️

She is the most cuddly, affectionate, pint-sized best friend 👯‍♀️ Her foster parents said she needs “lots and lots and lots of cuddles” - can anyone give her that? ☺️

She’s great with both dogs and cats and needs a playful small to medium size dog in her forever home, along with a fenced yard. She didn’t know how to walk on a leash when we got her and is still practicing, so she needs a safe place to play 🐾

Tessa has a low maintenance coat, is just 19lbs and estimated at just 1.5 years old. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She’s in Tampa, her adoption fee is $300 and she’s ready to go home for the holidays! 🎄

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
