Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Kimber, a 4-year-old boy whose story breaks our hearts but also fills us with hope. Kimber came to us through a Facebook post where he was being given away. One look at his thin frame, patchy coat, and the scars of neglect told us everything: this sweet soul hasn’t been given the life he deserves.
Kimber’s missing fur and scraped back are signs of being confined in a crate that was far too small for far too long. But despite it all, Kimber holds no grudges. He’s a mellow, gentle guy who is ready to put his rough past behind him and start a new chapter filled with love, comfort, and care.
Here’s what we’ve learned about Kimber:
• He’s up-to-date on vaccinations, freshly neutered, and knows basic obedience.
• Kimber rides like a dream in the car and walks beautifully on a leash.
• He seems good with cats and got along with the Chihuahuas at his previous home.
• He’s crate-trained and actually wants to be in because he probably feels safe in his kennel.
•. He has very long nails but when we got him they were curled over. It'll take time for the quick to shrink up slowly getting his nails back to normal.
Right now, Kimber is on the road to recovery, which is just the start of his new story, a part you can be a part of. With consistent nutrition, his coat will shine again, and his body will fill out. What he really needs now is a family who can and will show him what it means to be cherished.
Kimber came from a veteran with lots of troubles, and his name reflects that legacy. Can you honor his story by giving him the life he’s always deserved?
If you can offer Kimber the warm, loving home he’s been waiting for, please fill out an adoption application today. https://linktr.ee/reddirtboxerrescue
Let’s rewrite Kimber’s story together. ❤️

Adoption fees are based on a per dog basis. Our dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, heart worm tested, de-wormed, and are on monthly preventatives for heart worms, fleas, and ticks. Prior to adoption, the dogs live in loving foster homes, where we emphasize socialization and training. The adoption fee helps us to recoup some of the costs involved with rescue, but does not begin to cover the actual costs involved (we spend an average of over $300 per dog). Of course, a true Boxer lover knows that these wonderful dogs are priceless!
(Adoption fees are reduced if you have adopted from RDBR before or you are adopting more than one dog). Our dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, dewormed, and are on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, and ticks.

More about this rescue
RDBR is a non profit, 501(C)3 status. RDBR provides adoption services as well as helping current boxer owners find their dogs a loving new forever home. RDBR strives to promote responsible pet ownership.
We provide several rescue services from taking in abandoned and abused boxers to rescuing them from shelter's. RDBR conducts a thorough adoption process and that continues long after a boxer has found it's new forever home. We also offer assistance to any other boxer rescue that reaches out to us. RDBR also helps current boxer owners with behavioral problems in order to help that family keep their beloved companion.
RDBR is made up of a dedicated group of volunteers with many years of experience in performing rescue work with other established groups. After careful consideration, we have made the big decision to become an independent rescue group. We believe the establishment of Red Dirt Boxer Rescue will enable us to concentrate our efforts within the state, and to better serve both boxers and owners in Oklahoma and neighboring communities.
Our volunteers include individuals who have rescue, dog training and behavior experience. Most importantly we are boxer owners who are dedicated to saving the breed that we all love unconditionally.
