My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mini Miss is a real sweetheart! She is a little apprehensive about new people but does warm up fairly quick. She does seem to like females more than males, but we are currently working to socialize her to more people. She gets along good with most dogs but does chase chickens. She would love to cuddle up with someone on the couch and get plenty of love and treats. Mini Miss is currently in a foster home, so if interested in her, please contact us first to arrange for a meet and greet. Please visit our website capsnevada.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Come on down to meet our pets! They are cute on pictures, but they're better looking in person. Let them show off their best attributes.

2.

Interview

Tell us a little about yourself, your lifestyle and what you are looking for. We can help you find a good match.

3.

Meet the Pet

For dogs, we require a meet and greet with all the members of the household, including your current dogs to ensure our dog is a good match.

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

If you and our pet are a match, we can then complete the adoption.

5.

Pay Fee

Just a minor detail to complete the adoption. Make sure you bring cash or check only.

6.

Take the Pet Home

Once the contract is finalized, you can bring your new best friend home and show'em off to your friends and family.

Additional adoption info

We generally require a 6' fence or secure kennel area(some exceptions may be made depending on the dog) while they are outside (they can't be tethered). Make sure you bring pictures or video of your fence-in-yard with you standing next to the fence.

All the cats must be inside only pets.

If you rent, please make sure you bring a written consent from your landlord.

If an adoption doesn't work out the dog or cat is to be returned to CAPS.

Call to learn more about our Foster-to-Adopt program for puppies and kittens under 6 months. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered and current on their shots.
