My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Morris is a domestic shorthair who was brought into our care in December of this year as an owner surrender. He is a extreme sweetheart when he is comfortable but while he is adjusting to a new environment and people, he can be pretty skittish so we do recommend an indoor only home for him. He LOVES affection and prefers that over treats from time to time so he will need a cuddle buddy or human who LOVES affection just as much as he does as he can get really clingy to those he loves! Morris gets along well with other cats but will need a very slow introduction to whatever resident pet he will be meeting to ensure that they get a chance to adjust to each other confidently.

If you are interested in meeting Morris, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org

At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
