Hi there, my name is Satchel and I’m a handsome little male Chihuahua mix about 5 years old, 11 lbs and I was confiscated by animal control officers along with several other dogs from a home in San Antonio Texas. We all were rail-thin with a bad case of Mange, almost completely naked, scared, and miserable. Thankfully, my foster mom knew it was an easy fix with some proper nutrition, medicated baths, and lots of love, and patience and saved us all from euthanasia. Fast forward a few months, and look at me now! I’m healthy & happy, neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find WAY better owners!
I am a nice boy with a medium energy level, shy at first meeting but adore people, and am great with other dogs. I enjoy playtime with my doggy friends but am partial to my people and enjoy the love and snuggles I never had in my past. I love doggy toys that make a crinkle sound and show my affection by staying close to you, but not in a clingy in-your-face sort of way. I’m sweet and easy, well-behaved and housetrained. I come when called and listed well. My foster mom says I handled mange without a fuss and will make a wonderful companion dog. I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started! Inquire about me today and bring me home!
