Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Jett came to CVHS as a `stray`, but it`s most likely that he is an abandoned dog, and we are here to help him find a better life!
Jett is a young, active, and friendly older puppy, who has clearly not had any training or guidance for managing his youthful excitement. This handsome boy is very people-focused, and LOVES attention from staff and volunteers. He`s improving with learning to walk nicely on leash and harness, and sometimes his joyful exuberance gets directed into mouthiness on staff`s feet, but he`s easily redirected with a toy. Much of his behavior is typical for a puppy, and he`s quickly learning better alternatives. We are working with him daily to keep his feet on the floor, and his mouth off everyone and everything.
He hasn`t had a chance to meet any of our other dogs yet, due to his stray hold and then neuter recovery, but he`s unconcerned when he sees other dogs in the kennels and on the trails. We do not think he`d be a good fit with cats, and his lack of body awareness could be tough for young kids to live with.
A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Jett`s $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Jett.
