Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Holly came to us through an Animal Control Officer who had picked her up as a stray, so we don`t know anything about her prior life.
She`s had a lot of changes and upheavals in the past month, and is initially a little unsure, but has warmed up to everyone here, and is learning she`s now safe. This chonky little short-stack is a strong puller, so she`s learning how to walk nicely on a front-clip harness. She is food motivated, and though she has a short attention span to match her short legs, she`s still making great progress in her training. She will need a caring and patient adopter, also willing to work on consistent house-training. (She may do fine not toileting in a house, but she is not `house-trained` in her kennel.)
Holly has been reactive to other dogs here, so she is looking to be the only dog in her new home. We do not know how she feels about cats. Because of her moments of jumping and zoomies, she`s probably not a good match for young kids.
A consultation with our Behavior Specialist is included in Holly`s $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about her, and to determine if you should meet Holly.
