Glynis is a lovely, mature (not senior) lady who's about 7 years old. She's happy to go on walks, but frequently communicates that she'd rather just lie down in the sun. A little jollying along, she'll give you "that look", then be right back with you. That's her - with an opinion, she'll give it to you, but then happily go along once she realizes resistance is futile.
Glynis is a little wary when first meeting new dogs and people but give her a minute to scope it out, and she comes in to meet everybody. She's great with her foster-sister and other dogs. Once home, she's happy to curl up near you preferably on your lap - at only 13 pounds she's a great size for any lap! Glynis is house trained, (newly and quickly) leash trained and great in crate at night after a few minutes of voicing her disapproval. All in all, Glynis is a low drama sweetheart!
Unfortunately, Glynis has tested positive for heartworm. She will begin treatment in January when she is spayed and has a dental done. She also has luxated patellas on her front knees. She will not go up or down stairs but she does take 3 walks a day that are 1/3 mile long & she shows no discomfort at all. She does have some calcium deposits on her right cornea which are no sort of a problem at this point.
If you're interested in meeting Glynis, please complete an adoption application at www.northstarpets.org and be sure to ask for her by name - GLYNIS TX!
