Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
- Doc is large/medium/small dog friendly. Or should I say tolerant. He doesn't have any interest in making friends or playing with anyone. He is happy to just coexist with everyone.
- He is cat friendly. Seems to want to play with them. At least more than dogs.
- He seems to have a bit of separation anxiety. He's a bit clingy right now. He does not like being left in a room by himself.
- He sleeps in a crate next to my bed quietly all night. I coax him in with a treat.
- He seems mostly housebroken as long as he's let out frequently.
- He loves going outside. Loves to sniff around, roll in the grass, and lay in the sun.
- He is a bit obsessed with food. I have him using a slow feeder for now. He'll do anything for treats. He also begs and seems to have been given human food in the past.
- He may not do well with small children and food.
- He likes to be near people, sometimes sits in laps.
- He's fairly low energy.
- Loves toys and enjoys playing with them and sharing them with people.
- He can be vocal. He alerts to sounds and movement throughout the house. He also barks when left alone. He doesn't have a loud piercing bark. It's low and quieter than most chihuahuas.
- Overall, great dog for a calm household. He'll require little effort to be the perfect pet.
