Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Daisy as in Daisy Mae Duke.
I’m pretty enough to be the homecoming queen and tough enough to whip the tailback. I like cuddles, quiet time, and have learned that I DO like toys and treats. I am faster and more agile than my dog-brothers.
I arrived at my foster’s house so shut-down that I wouldn't eat food or take treats. After a couple weeks of quiet time and sleep, I started to rebuild trust. I’m learning from my dog-brothers how to behave and be a part of a family. I never knew life could be this good.
I never have accidents in the house. I am house trained, so long as I know where to go outside. I sit by the door to tell you I need outside. I enjoy sunning outside and don’t prefer the rain or cold. I can be trusted out of my crate and by myself for a couple hours, but don't leave shoes or toys on the floor, I need toys that are my own. I’m not a barker.
I’m happy to lounge quietly or play chase outside. I can walk on a leash and am gaining confidence. Some might call me a shy girl, but I have a spunky side behind this shyness. Kids don’t bother me; I live with an 11 and 8 year old. I have always been gentle with kids as young as 5. I’d be happiest in a home with another animal to show me the ropes.
Despite my rough start I know there is still a happily ever after waiting for me.
