My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 1 year old
Weight: 3kg / 6.6lb

Meet Minx! This gorgeous domestic medium-haired mama was found as a stray with her kittens, who are still growing up, but Minx is ready for a home of her own. She’s an energetic and playful lady who thrives in an active household with plenty of enrichment—especially when it comes to chasing toys!

Minx does have a bit of a spicy side and can get overstimulated at times, so she’s looking for a cat-savvy adopter who can read her body language and respect when she needs her space. With her stunning coat, she’ll also need some help staying well-groomed, but she’s worth every brush stroke!

If you’re ready to welcome a playful and spirited companion into your life, Minx might just be the purr-fect match for you!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
